At that significant moment in history, a powerful earthquake struck, while Portugal was simultaneously grappling with a profound social and economic crisis, leading to widespread strikes and notable chaos. This tumultuous backdrop has profoundly shaped my perspective, instilling in me a relentless curiosity about life and the world around me. My fascination with cities and their complexities has been a constant thread in my journey. For five years, I dedicated myself to architecture and urban planning, founding Atelier Portatil, a space where creativity thrived, and launching the MOID Project to explore innovative ideas in design and urbanism. However, my passion extends beyond the structural elements of cities—I am captivated by their cultural fabric and the identities that emerge from them. Currently, I am the founder and curator of TARA Gallery, located in the vibrant city of Lisbon. This role allows me to champion new artistic voices and urban thinkers, fostering connections that contribute to the cultural production of cities. Alongside curatorial work, I transform ideas into imaginative and witty set designs—a craft that bridges my architectural background with my love for storytelling and aesthetics. As an art director for commercial films, my work involves orchestrating visual narratives that captivate and inspire. From concept to execution, I thrive on creating cohesive, impactful designs that elevate stories and resonate with audiences. This role merges my love for design, storytelling, and collaboration, and it allows me to continually push creative boundaries.
